The Siftek™ membrane system can advantageously replace rectification column (Column B) as well as energy intensive molecular sieve unit and cyclohexane column. It offers operational flexibility as it can produce hydrous ethanol (93%) for the Brazilian market or fuel grade ethanol (more than 99%) for export markets.
